The building contains an auditorium with seating for 21,000 people, a 7,667-pipe organ, and a 900 seat theater. The auditorium is the biggest of its kind in the world and does not have any visible support columns. Throughout the year, other events are held in the building, including Mormon Tabernacle Choir concerts, Church meetings, and civic events. The building also houses a number of original paintings including the famous Book of Mormon gallery by Arnold Friberg. Tours of the building are available year-round, and tours of the roof gardens are offered April through October. Please call to confirm tour times. On Sundays, the rooftop garden tours are offered at 10:15, 11:15 and 12:15. Each tour begins at Door 15. The rooftop terrace affords a perfect view of Temple Square.
In preparation for large performances, the Conference Center is occasionally closed to the public. It is recommended that you call ahead of time to make sure the Conference Center is open. If you will be visiting as a large group, please call ahead to schedule a tour.
Admission is free and the center is handicap accessible. Click here for more information.
