Just like weddings, bridal showers come in all shapes and sizes. Doesn’t matter if you’re having a big party or something more intimate, any size celebration calls for games. This is the time for the bride to bond with her family and friends, so why not have some fun along the way! Plus, I don’t think you can really call it a bridal shower without at least one questionnaire going around. Find the Guest Bingo
One of the best things about bridal showers is bringing together family and friends. But because they might not interact with each other that often, consider having this fun ice-breaker! Get the talking and the mingling going by handing out a bingo card to the guests as they arrive at the party. The goal is to find one person to match with each sentence and fill up their cards before time’s up! Ground rule: each sentence needs to match with a different person.
How Well do You Know the Bride?
This beloved game requires little to no preparation. Just print out a questionnaire for each guest (including the bride) and give them 5-10 minutes to answer the questions. Have the bride say the answers and let the guests score themselves. If you have a small group, have everyone say their answers out loud to make it more interactive and fun! In my bridal shower, my friends also enjoyed that we had small kitchen-related prizes to give out for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.
Wedding Catch Phrase
Play the wedding version of this catchy game and add more fun to your bridal shower! The rules are simple: divide the guests into two groups, and then a person from one team draws a word and describes it to her team without using the word. If they guess the word correctly before the time is up, they get a point.
Cupcake Decorating Contest
Awake the inner artist in your guests and have an entertaining cupcake decorating contest! It’s not everyday that people have the chance to make wedding-themed food so they will definitely enjoy it. Bake the cupcakes ahead of time, provide the frosting and a variety of toppings, and cut out these signs for extra cuteness.
Take a trip down memory lane and collect sweet memories with this game. Each guest gets a note card and writes down their favorite memory with the bride. Put all the completed cards in a box and pass it around. The guests pick a memory to read out loud and they have to guess who shares that memory with the bride. Have each person sign the card they wrote after the guessing and use them to put together a “guest book” for the bride!
